Very professional and detail oriented, kept me updated every step of the way. Remodeled 2 story fireplace wall, put cabinets in laundry room, replaced faucets and lights in 4 baths And painted entire 3500 sq ft home. Beautiful work and will recommend them to anyone wanting perfection. Will use them for all future projects!!!!!!

I called these guys in a panic- I was moving in and had bitten off WAY more than I could chew with my painting aspirations. These guys were absolutely incredible- they squeezed me into their calendar and partnered with me on scope of work to get to something that maximized how much they could help me within a budget I could afford. We landed on them painting my ceilings in common areas and they did a PHENOMENAL JOB. Not only do my ceilings look incredible, they were insanely helpful with coaching me on how best to tackle the rest of my project more cheaply & effectively. They were reliable, communicative, helpful, and played good music while they worked. Absolutely love these guys and will not hesitate to call them for any future painting work (like when I finally accept I’m never going to finish the rest of my house on my own lol).

Absolutely Terrible Experience – Avoid Thompson & Boys LLC at All Costs! I contacted Josh Thompson, the owner of Thompson & Boys LLC, and my first interaction was incredibly unpleasant. I explained that I don’t have a lot of money right now, so I wanted to start slowly and just do one room at a time. His immediate response was to ask if I could put the job on a credit card. When I told him that I didn’t have any credit available due to being on short-term disability since December, he made an extremely inappropriate comment, suggesting that I "learn how to paint myself." This kind of comment was not only rude but completely unnecessary. Despite this, I decided to continue and explained that I had tried painting the house myself 25 years ago when we first moved in, and it ended in disaster. His response? Another snarky remark. At this point, I was already regretting contacting him, but I pushed forward because I still needed the work done. Next, I sent him pictures of the small room (about 10x11 feet) I wanted painted. He said it would take 3 days to finish due to drying time, which seemed completely excessive for such a small room. When I asked him for an official estimate, he texted me a breakdown of $1,600 for labor and $400 for materials. This is absurdly high for one tiny room. I also asked what kind of paint he would use, and he listed "cashmere, superpaint, or emerald" for the walls, and "Emerald Urethane" for the millwork. He stated he would need 3 gallons of tinted primer, 3 gallons of paint, and 1 gallon of urethane. When I mentioned that four years ago, I had paid $6,000 for my entire 1,390 square foot house to be painted with two coats and some minor repairs by a reputable company, Stephens Painting, he responded in the most rude and dismissive way possible: "Let’s not waste each other’s time. I painted an entire house for $17,000. Material alone was $3,500 for 2,200 square feet." His response completely blew me away, and I couldn’t believe the audacity. I was not trying to compare costs, just giving context that I had worked with a professional company before, and his pricing seemed wildly inflated. This entire exchange, from his rude remarks to his outrageous pricing, was just too much. I had more work I wanted done, but at this point, I wouldn’t trust him with anything in my home. I will be sharing this review on every platform I can to warn others about his over-the-top pricing, his lack of professionalism, and his rude customer service. I don’t want anyone else to go through the same frustrating experience I did. Avoid Josh Thompson and Thompson & Boys LLC at all costs. His poor attitude and ridiculous pricing make it clear that he does not value his customers.

Josh and Brad are one of a kind. They have done a few projects for us now including painting our house, building an outdoor deck, and remodeling our bathroom. I came with them with my vision for each and they hit a home run each and every time. I was nervous at first that the picture in my head wouldn't match in the work that they did, boy was I wrong. It can be hard to convey what you envision in my mind, but they made sure they understood it prior to starting. They provided suggestions for improvement and overall just made me comfortable about the whole process. They are upfront about costs and work with you to make sure you get what you are paying for. If I had any concerns, they were quick to address them. I am so grateful we found them. Josh & Brad--I'm sure you'll here from us soon. 🙂
